According to the official WeChat account of Chongqing Construction Engineering Third Construction, the V2/V3 supporting projects of Anyfa Semiconductor Project have successfully completed all construction tasks recently and were officially handed over to Party A’s subsequent subcontracting units, laying a solid foundation for the overall completion of the Anyfa Semiconductor project and the commissioning and commissioning of the core production line. It is reported that the project is located in the high-precision chip factory that has been put into operation in Xiyong Microelectronics Industrial Park, Chongqing High-tech Zone. It is jointly constructed by Chongqing Sanan Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics. It is divided into two parts: a chip factory and a substrate factory. It integrates silicon carbide substrate, epitaxy, chip R&D, manufacturing and sales.

In June 2023, Sanan Optoelectronics and STMicroelectronics jointly announced the establishment of an 8-inch silicon carbide wafer joint venture manufacturing plant in Chongqing (STMicroelectronics Co., Ltd., referred to as STMicroelectronics). After full completion, the total investment is expected to be approximately 23 billion yuan. It will become the first large-scale mass production line of 8-inch automotive-grade silicon carbide power chips in China.
