Recently, the field of glass-based Micro LED has shown an active trend. Following Chenxian Optoelectronics and Nichuang Technology, companies such as Xinyichang, Xunlin Technology, Philips Commercial Display and Haji Semiconductor have successively disclosed relevant production line construction and product technology progress, reflecting that the technology route is gradually advancing from research and development to mass production.
▋ Xinyichang won the bid for a large-size TFT glass-based Micro LED mass production line order
On February 3, Xinyichang announced that it had won the bid for a large-size TFT glass-based Micro LED mass production line order. Previously, Xinyichang has reached a strategic cooperation with Chenxian Optoelectronics, focusing on the core process bottleneck of massive chip transfer, and jointly exploring scenario applications such as commercial displays, smart conferences, and vehicle-mounted displays.
According to reports, Xinyichang has currently cooperated with chip manufacturers to jointly develop dedicated mass transfer equipment for Micro LED applications. It focuses on technology route tracking and core capability reserves, and is committed to achieving breakthroughs in transfer efficiency, alignment accuracy and chip adaptability, and providing reliable equipment support for the mass production of high-density micro-pitch displays.
▋ Xunlin Technology completed nearly 100 million yuan in Series A financing and plans to expand its production of large-size glass substrates
Tianjin Xunlin Technology Co., Ltd. recently completed nearly 100 million yuan in Series A financing, led by Jinyu Bogor, followed by Haitong Kaiyuan, Binhai Industry Fund and old shareholder Xiamen Haihong. The company was established in 2023 and is mainly engaged in the research, development and production of PVD copper coating technology for glass substrates and ceramic substrates, targeting the high-precision, high-copper-thick substrate market.
This round of funds will be mainly used to expand the mass production capacity of large-size glass substrates, build packaging module test lines, and develop new application directions such as chip carrier boards and optical modules. Technically, the company has achieved Micro LED-level circuit precision and high-density glass through-hole mass production, and its products have entered the fields of RGB mini backlight and Micro LED direct display.
In March 2025, Xunlin Technology completed tens of millions of yuan in Pre-A round financing. With the ability to manufacture 1350×1050mm large-size, high-copper-thick panels, the company has successfully realized the application of small-pitch high-definition and high-brightness large-size fully transparent glass screens, and has improved the operability and reduced costs of Mini/Micro LED products through fine circuit design
In August 2025, Xunlin Technology built a full-process glass substrate production line in Tianjin, with cutting, TGV, copper coating, etching and other process capabilities, and can batch supply substrates for RGB mini backlight, high-brightness direct display, transparent display and AR/VR equipment.
In terms of industrial chain layout, the company has cooperated with Maiwei Technology to build a Micro LED spine packaging test line with a monthly production capacity of 1,000 square meters. It plans to use a fully automatic Micro MIP process to reduce Micro LED manufacturing costs. In terms of production capacity, Xunlin Technology expects to increase its annual substrate production capacity from 300,000 square meters to 500,000 square meters in 2026, and promote glass substrate modules to enter the actual shipment verification stage.
▋ Philips Commercial Display launches glass-based Micro LED products
On January 30, Philips Commercial Display released the "Feiyao Series" of Micro LED display products using glass substrates through its official Weibo. This product uses a TFT glass substrate as a carrier, relies on its semiconductor-level flatness, and is adapted to the Micro LED mass transfer process to achieve a P0.78 level micro-pitch display.
In terms of drive technology, this series uses active matrix drive, which can independently regulate the voltage and current of each pixel, thereby achieving precise point-to-point lighting control. From the perspective of application scenarios, the P0.78 micro-pitch and high refresh rate make it suitable for situations such as command and control centers that require clear presentation of monitoring details; in high-end smart conference rooms, the seamless large screen can support precision drawing display and remote video collaboration; in addition, the product's high contrast and wide color gamut characteristics also target the needs of private theaters and high-end entertainment spaces for immersive audio-visual experience.
▋ Haji Semiconductor announced the lighting of P0.93 MLED passive driver glass-based direct display module
Haji Semiconductor disclosed on February 4 that its first P0.93 passive drive glass-based M-LED direct display module was lit on January 31. The company will open the world's first 4.5-generation TGVM-LED display dedicated production line in November 2025. The lighting of the module further shows that its M-LED products based on TGV technology have entered the mass production preparation stage, and the pace of commercialization has been significantly accelerated.
Currently, Haji Semiconductor is promoting the development of a series of products at its production base in Fuchun Bay New City, Hangzhou. With the P0.93 module lighting up, the company plans to collaborate with domestic and foreign first-tier brands to launch more AM/PM display products using TGV technology during the year, and start the planning and construction of the second phase of the factory.
According to public information, Haji Semiconductor was established in December 2024 with investment from Zhejiang Yanxia Electronics, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, and its business covers research and development, design, production and sales. Currently, we master core technologies such as TGV micron through holes and semiconductor coating. In terms of production technology, Haji Semiconductor has more than doubled the size of the substrate from the 510×515mm common in the industry, and uses PVD+ electroplating hole filling, panel-level yellow light and laser etching to support the large-scale preparation of high-precision through-hole structures. In addition, the company also applies SiN materials to new CPO platforms to promote the integration of Micro LED in high-end display, backlight and semiconductor packaging.
Haji Semiconductor's current product line includes 4 glass-based Mini/Micro LED display-related products, which are mainly targeted at home theaters, conference systems, education, artificial intelligence, smart driving and LCD TVs. The company is building a R&D and production base for glass-based M-LED direct display, transparent display, backlight, MIP and semiconductor packaging carrier boards in Fuchun Bay New City. It is expected that after the first and second phases of the project are fully put into operation in 2028, it will be able to achieve an annual output of 200,000 square meters of M-LED display products and semiconductor packaging carrier boards, with an annual output value target of 10 billion yuan.
▋ Can the expansion of the COG camp rewrite the LED landscape in 2026?
Currently, many companies are intensively releasing glass-based innovative products and technological progress, and there are frequent reports of accelerated production line construction and technological breakthroughs. The advantages of glass substrate in terms of flatness, thermal conductivity and TFT driver integration give it long-term potential in scenarios such as high-end micro-displays and vehicle-mounted displays, and the related technology camp is gradually growing.
So, can the expansion of the COG camp rewrite the LED landscape in 2026?
On March 4, 2026, Experts said that it will continue to resonate with enterprises and bring an innovation sharing conference that clears up the fog for the display industry - "LED Display and MLED Industry Chain 2026 Blueprint Summit", and specially set up a "MIP and glass-based MicroLED special session" to jointly express trend judgments with innovators, establish consensus and set the future.
